The founder – Angela Goutkin
Registered Nutritionist MBANT
Registered Nutritional Therapist CNHC
I have been interested in nutrition since my mid-20s whilst working long hours in the City, frequently traveling and eating on the run, snacking from vending machines at work and grabbing breakfast at the local tube station on my way to work.
I turned my attention to nutrition as a tool to optimise my health and energy levels and over the years became fascinated with the biochemistry of nutrition and the scientific evidence of the benefits it can make to one’s state of health.
I found the media messages about nutrition increasingly confusing and therefore completed a number of courses throughout the years, to try and get to the truth.
My passion for nutrition grew and I finally decided to undertake a complete career change and obtain the appropriate qualifications to practice. Having witnessed how people’s lives and state of health can change by sometimes quite simple interventions, it made me realise that I had found my perfect career path and this is how ‘Together Nutrition’ was born.
Nutrition and wellbeing for corporate clients and busy professionals is a natural fit for my background and career path. Having worked in the City for over 20 years, I fully appreciate the demands of the corporate world and time restrictions associated with it. Therefore, I am able to provide ‘fit for purpose’ advice, in the form of workshops or individual consultations. My advice takes into account challenges of employees, who are also frequently juggling family life, travel and work commitments.
Other areas of interest include female hormones, autoimmune and chronic conditions, digestion and digestive disorders, healthy aging, general health optimisation and optimal energy through applied nutrition.
Governing bodies membership
As a member of BANT (British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy), I am bound by the BANT Code of Professional Practice. I am also registered with the CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council). The CNHC was set up with government support to protect the public by providing a UK voluntary register of complementary therapists. CNHC’s register has been approved as an Accredited Voluntary Register by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care.
When taking advice from any healthcare professional, always check they are appropriately qualified, are registered and belong to a regulated governing body.
